Release of Employees on February 13 and March 3, 2014

​To provide clearer and easier access to the guidance on how to handle the release of State employees on February 13 and March 3, 2014, we have consolidated what was initially two separate articles into one. The individual articles have been removed in lieu of this consolidated posting; however, the text for both remains unchanged from the original publications.

2/14/2014

Consistent with the Division of Personnel’s Emergency Situations / Inclement Weather policy, non-essential State employees were released without charge for the calendar day of February 13, 2014. Non-essential employees who worked on February 13, 2014 are entitled to comparable time off for hours worked. Employees are to adjust their work schedules within the next 30 days as provided in the policy.

Questions should be directed to agency supervisors or your agency Human Resources Office.

State Government offices remained open on February 13, 2014.

3/14/2014

Consistent with the Division of Personnel’s Emergency Situations/Inclement Weather policy, all non-weather related State employees were released without charge to leave for the calendar day of March 3, 2014. All non-essential and essential employees who worked on March 3, 2014 are entitled to comparable time off for hours worked. Employees are to adjust their work schedules within the next 30 days.
